I have a false adf error that will not clear. I have even changed the sensor. Is there a way to remove adf completely? I cannot añign printer without ability to use flatbed scanner and error only allows printing.

Try the following steps:
Bypass the ADF in HP Smart App
- Open HP Smart App on your computer or phone.
- Go to Scan → Select Flatbed Scanner instead of ADF.
- Try scanning a document.
Disable ADF in Printer Settings
- On the printer control panel, go to Settings.
- Look for Scanner Preferences or ADF Settings.
- If available, select Flatbed Only mode.
