When using HP Officejet 2620 for scanning with the ADF, page is detected and scan starts. But end of page is not detected so following pages are not realized as separate pages. Finally error is detected and no scan images are build.
This happens as well with only one page, it is feeded, it does not stop feeding but error ist detected after a while.
This happens as well in context of copying pages with ADF not using any Laptop.

The ADF is perhaps in need of maintenance

What else?
If you have not done so, certainly try reloading the printer software. (Ask if you need help.)
IF the issue is caused by the driver, uninstalling and reloading will help.
What else?
Could be the paper / original document you are trying to scan.
Paper is not all equal - paper might be curled, damp (or too dry), folded, too thin or too thick...
Try a different document made from "standard sized document paper" in good condition.
Finally...
Product introduced in September 2013.
It is possible the mechanics are showing signs of wear.
If true - Can it be fixed?
Maybe - the problem is finding someone that would do the work without charging you as much as it would cost for a brand new, top-shelf OfficeJet Pro printer.
