We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

When a document is loaded in the ADF, and the SCAN button is pressed, or clicked in the HP Smart app, the rollers will chitter a couple of times without picking up the paper. Then an error code displays indicating a mispick.

 

I've looked at the mechanism and it appears that the small gear at the back of the printer (which engages the roller mechanism in the lid) is turning, but either won't turn enough to grab the paper, or is stopping before the rollers can grab the paper. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I understand the document feeder is not picking the paper. To assist you better, are you using regular plain paper?

 

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document to resolve this issue - ADF does not pick paper or feeds in too many sheets

Clean the pick rollers and the separator pad.

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your PC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Try using the feeder and check.
