OfficeJet Pro 9025e
Microsoft Windows 11

Trying to scan with ADF using the printer display scan to computer. It says it scanned to the PC but it did not pop up in the normal window with scans and it was not to be found on the PC. HP and HP Smart Friend both worked on it, finally saying there needed to be a firmware fix but none is yet available. Anyone have the same problem? The PC is an HP Pavilion All-In-One about 1 year old. Also it initially did work with a Lenovo laptop but that stopped too. Have to use the HP Scan app to scan to the PC. No fix I could find.

Hi @SVT-Stang,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your Printer.

A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain on the printer.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

Restart the device from which you are trying to print and check if that works.

B) Also, update the printer firmware by clicking on this link.

I've spent over 13 hours on phone/chat with HP agents and HP Smart Friend trying to fix the issue. This is in addition to the time spent with a 9018e that I returned because it had the same problem, and paid more than 2x for the 9025e model. The printer has been updated, installed, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. The interface is with an HP Pavilion all in one PC and a Lenovo laptop, both using current Windows 11. The conclusion by an HP supervisor, manager, agents including escalation, and HP Smart Friend is this is an operating system issue. I understand HP engineers are working with Microsoft to find a solution as none currently exists. Thank you for your assistance. My hope is there will be a fix on the operating system updates and/or the HP codes, and that I will receive the firmware updates when available. Thank you for checking on this matter.
