On earlier driver software it was able to automatically detect whether to use the ADF and flatbed during scan jobs. This was a useful function when scanning lots of pages as I was able to feed plain sheets in the ADF, then use the flatbed for odd size receipts.
Since a software "úpgrade" about a year ago, the scanner user interface changed and I'm now forced to choose between ADF or flatbed for the whole scan job. The quality of the display is also a downgrade as there is now only a small button on the left to add further pages.
Is it possible to go back to the old driver software for the scanner at least?
I use the printer from multiple computers Windows 10 & 7 both now have the problem.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Martyn

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
Can you try this alternative scan solution:
HP Scan Extended
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi
Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"
Let us know if that works.
You should be able to select the "Source" before you start scanning when you "Add pages".
Hope that helps!
