All-in-One HP Officejet 8035 wireless fax

I have an HP All-in-One OfficeJetPro 8035. I'm trying to fax. Error says it's not hooked up to a phone line. I thought since it was wireless that I did not need it hooked directly to a land-line. Have I gone completely over the edge and don't know what I'm talking about?

Yes, if faxing, you would still need to connect the phone line.

However, if Mobile Fax is used, then that can be done wirelessly. This example shows how it's done, make sure the printer is connected to a network first with HP Smart app.
