an error occurred while scanning.pngHP Print and Scan Doctor result.pngDevice Manager has stopped working.png

I have tried all methods.

1) uninstall and install again

2) unplug and plug again

3) Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) services are functioning correctly

4) Turn off the printer-all in one

5) Restart my computer

6) Follow all troubleshooting steps

7) Install whatever need to install

I have no idea what happening and cant scan at all. However, I am able to print from my computer.  I have checked my device manager and showed all updated and functioning properly as well as port.

Hi @elston,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that you are having trouble scanning with your HP Deskjet 2135 printer, on Windows 7. And, I am happy to help!

To verify that your printer's hardware is functional, are you able to make copies, using the printer's scanner glass? Copying Documents or Photos.

Do you see any blinking lights when you try to scan on the printer?

When making a copy, if you lift the lid, do you see a light come on, and the scanner bar move?

Once I know this information, I will do some further research for you!

Thank you for posting, and have a nice day! :generic:

Hi michalst,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I have some questions for you:

  • What is the operating system that you are using, Windows, or Mac? https://www.whatsmyos.com.
  • How is the printer connected, wireless or USB?

In the meantime, if you are using Windows, please try our HP Print and Scan Doctor, and let me know the results!

Hi!

Thank you very much for your reply.

Im using Win7 and I tried connecting wireless and via cable but the problem remains the same.

The printer function works without any problems both wireless and via cable.

I ran the Scan Doctor but the result is the same as the one mentioned in the first post (it gets stucked at drivers)
