I am suddently getting an annoying pop up that says my scan in not longer connected.  My Officejet 6600 is connected but the pop up keeps occuring.  How do I turn this off?  Thanks

Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

 

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are getting a pop up saying the scanner is no longer connected.

 

Don’t worry, we will work together to resolve this issue and It’s a pleasure to assist you in this regard.

 

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

 

  • When was the last time the printer was working fine?
  • Are you able to print/Copy from the printer?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

 

It sounds like your printer is losing signal with the router. This can cause printing/scanning communication issues as the software attempts to find the printer on the network again and you will receive that pop up when the software is unable to make a connection.

 

 I would advise power cycling the router, printer, and PC to get a fresh stable signal and check.

 

If the issue persists, I recommend you follow the steps in the below video and check if it helps.
