B110a all-in-one wireless scanner / printer

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've had the B110a wireless all-in-one wireless scanner / printer for many years. Good product. Until the scanning function and Solution Centre stopped functioning (Jan 2021) with adobe flash no longer being in use. Pain. Installed HP Scan & Capture as recommended by HP. What a joke. Took 30 mins to scan one page (used to take about 30 secs). Poor functionality. Any alternatives or ideas? Other than buy a new scanner... Thanks, in hope, rather than exasperation....

Try HP Scan Extended app: You can Download-Save-Install > HP Scan Extended   

If the link above does not work, copy and paste the ftp address below into your browser: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi 

  

NOTE: You must have the HP printer driver software installed on the computer to use this app. If you did not uninstall HP Printer driver software, then you should have it already. 

  

OPTIONAL: Add HP Scan Extended shortcut to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start 

  • Open File Explorer > Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Scan Extended\bin 

  • Right-Click exe > Select Pin to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start 

 HP Scan Extended features include (and are not limited to): Single, Multiple scans, Image and PDF scans, Email as PDF / JPEG, Source selection, Page Size choices include Auto-Detect (extracts image / document boundary).  May include OCR (Save as Editable Text).

Magic, sandytechy20!! That has me sorted and very happy now 😁 Now I just have to tackle the backlog of archive scanning...but that's my problem!
