I am coming to the conclusion that my HP Officejet 8610 document feeder (the part that pulls the scanned documents) needs to be replaced.
However, when I search the parts website, it doesn't even seem to come up as unavailable.
The closest that the website finds is the ADF Assembly for the HP Officejet pro 8500. Here is a link
I am thinking that maybe it's the same part for that printer and for my printer, given that the model numbers are close in sequence.
Part number: CB022-90002 Part is not orderable, HP Part Resellers may help click here
Also, I read another thread on here for my same printer model. One of the posts in there said that the part might not be customer serviceable. The poster said to chat with support to see if it is customer serviceable. But, when I try that, the site just tells me that my warranty has expired and links to this community.
I see the parts on Ebay but they are used and priced at about 40% of what this printer used to go on sale for, at times. So I think that's not worth it for the used part.
