In have a M227FDW laser jet that is a week old and it started buzzing today while it is rest mode. If I touch the home screen it goes away.
I am using it as a stand alone copier and scanner. It is not networked to any computer. When needed, I scan onto a flashdrive.
Any way to stop this buzzing while its in rest mode? It is pretty loud.

A warm welcome to HP Support Community!
A Buzzing sound is typically caused due to a piece of paper/other obstruction, is stuck in the fuser or fuser unit may be installed incorrectly or may be damaged. Unfortunately, fuser is not a customer replaceable part. However, we could try power resetting the printer and updating the printer firmware. Here is how to do it:
Please ensure the printer is up-to-date with its firmware. If you are unsure, you can use the steps available here to update the printer firmware.
1) Make sure this printer is plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector
2) Remove all of the toner cartridges from the printer and close the door
3) Remove the power cord from the back of the printer (Do no press the power button)
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer
5) Wait for the printer to turn on completely, then install the toner cartridges.
Let me know how it goes!
