Hi @pandiUthra,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've already done quite a bit of troubleshooting for your HP MFP M128fn printer. Here are some additional steps you might try to resolve the calibration error.

  • Reset the Printer: Sometimes a full reset can resolve calibration issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check for Obstructions: Ensure there are no obstructions or foreign objects in the scanner area that could interfere with the calibration process.
  • Reinstall Printer Drivers: Uninstall and then reinstall the printer drivers and software. This can sometimes resolve software-related issues that affect calibration.
  • Check Scanner Calibration Settings: Some printers have a specific setting for scanner calibration in the printer settings menu. Check if there is a manual calibration option and follow the instructions provided.
  • Inspect the Scanner Assembly: Ensure that the scanner assembly moves smoothly along its path. If it's not moving freely, there may be an issue with the scanner's mechanical components.
  • Check for Firmware Updates: While you've mentioned updating the firmware, double-check to ensure you're using the latest version. Sometimes, additional updates or patches are released.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
