Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

For some reason the computer is not talking with my printer. I did nothing to change this. I have checked cables and turned off both and on again. Still not connecting. I need to print some document before I can figure out the problem. I downloaded on a stick which I.ve connected to the printer however it only gives me a choice to print pictures not  documents from the external drive stick.

HP Recommended

The device can only print "printable format" documents and images. If you have an office doc, say in word format, you can first print to pdf (save as pdf). It should be able to see and print the pdf file on a thumb drive.
