Product: HP Deskjet 3056A
Operating System: Chrome OS

I would like to scan documents with a Deskjet 3056A to an Acer Chromebook.  The printer is set up wirelessly, and documents print successfully.  E-print works well too.  

 

The issue is scanning.   The error message on the printer reads, "Computer not found.  Ensure the HP Software has been installed on the computer."  Since a Chromebook does not allow downloading and is app based...does this indicate that I will not EVER be able to scan?  :Crying:  Please help!  Thank you.
