UPDATE EDIT: I don't see a way to delete this message, so, I figured it out.  I have to use HP Smart.  This took some digging to discover, but I did do that.

Good day.  I hope someone can tell me if I'm able to scan a document to my printer and have it directly save to a folder on my computer? Since 2018, because my home computer was only hardwired by ethernet cable (Comcast), the only method available to me was to scan a document to a USB drive (stick), then insert the drive into my laptop port and copy it over.
I have finally gotten a wireless network connection on my laptop, and I *thought* this printer could use the wireless network to transmit the scanned files directly from the printer to a folder on the laptop. No more USB drive, I thought.

Is this possible?  I have read as many manuals as I can find and I cannot figure this out.

EDITING to clarify: I have already successfully connected the printer to the wireless network.  The issue is how to send a scan from the printer to the computer.

HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M281fdw is a 2018 printer.

Many thanks for your time.
