I've used the same network path and computer for at least 5 years. Last night something changed and i can no longer scan to my network folder that i've used. It says "Scanning was unsuccesful. Try again" I can scan via email, I can scan in other ways, it's just to my any network folder. I've tried setting up a new network folder and get the same result. I tried locating this SMB 1.0 mentioned in this other similar topic but my computer doesn't have a file named that.
When i test it i get "The test was unsuccessful. Try Again"
Can anyone assist?

Found the fix (work around).
Scan to Network Folder IS caused by kb4480970
https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/4480970/windows-7-update-kb4480970
See the above link, and scroll down to the KNOWN ISSUES:
"Local users who are part of the local “Administrators“ group may not be able to remotely access shares on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7 machines after installing the January 8th, 2019 security updates. This does not affect domain accounts in the local "Administrators" group.
Workaround:
To work around this issue use either a local account that is not part of the local “Administrators” group or any domain user (including domain administrators). We recommend this workaround until a fix is available in a future release."
I created a NEW local standard user on the computer (not administrator),
Then created a new Scan to network folder entry on the printer EWS to scan to the same folder.
Scanning works again.
More M$ B$. No wonder people are moving to Macs.

Talked with support this morning and we did get a network folder to scan to on my other laptop. So now I know that this is localized to this computer. It's either a computer problem or how my network is talking to this computer. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to proceed from here?

Appears to be a Windows Update that may have started this. I have 3 customers and my own 8710 that worked perfectly on Monday - Scan to network folder, and all blew up yesterday. Right after Microsoft "Patch Tuesday" hummm.
Scan to email still works. From printer LCD panel.
Unplugged printers, disconnect from network, replugged. Tested computer shared folder from another laptop - fine.
Powercycled router.
Remade Scan to network folder connection - no luck
Remade Scan to network folder connection using IP of computer- no luck
On the printer EWS, Network, Advanced: tried disable SMB v2 and v3 - no luck.
Turned OFF windows firewall - no luck.
I think the issues is that windows update did something to the SMB /SIFS file sharing support section that blocks the connection from the printer to the computer. possibly Microsoft KB4480970
I cannot find a solution.
Also Internet explorer wont access the printer EWS settings.
"There is a problem with this website’s security certificate."
Cannot seem to resolve that either. Google Chrome will get in, but also complains.
