Hi @Kenny195454,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Chrome OS typically saves scanned documents in the "Downloads" folder. Here are the steps to locate your scanned document on a Chromebook:

Open the Files App:

  • Click on the Launcher icon (bottom-left corner) - it looks like a circle.
  • Find the "Files" app, which typically looks like a folder.

Navigate to the Downloads Folder:

  • In the Files app, look for the "Downloads" folder on the left sidebar.
  • Click on "Downloads" to open it.

Search for Your Scanned Document:

  • Look for the scanned document in the Downloads folder.
  • You can use the search bar at the top-right corner of the Files app to search for the file by name.

Check Default Save Location in HP Smart:

  • Open the HP Smart app.
  • Check the settings or preferences within the HP Smart app to confirm the default save location for scanned documents.

If you still can't find the scanned document, consider checking the settings of the scanning application or the HP Smart app to see where it is configured to save scanned files.

Additionally, if you remember the name of the scanned document, you can use the search function within the Files app to quickly locate it. If you used a specific scanning application, it might have its default save location, so check the app's settings for more information.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
