Envy 7640 Printer

I have a Envy 7640 AIO printer.  I am able to send out faxes, but not able to receive them.  I set up the fax machine to ring 5 times and all the default settings for that matter.  I've checked the phone connections, and the fax test was successful.  I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled the printer, and still not able to receive faxes.  I've called the test fax phone and waited for the fax to come through.  The confirmation was sent to back to say that the fax was received by them but I didn't get a return call/fax back.  I've used my cell phone to call my fax line and it continues to ring and the machine doesn't go into the fax mode.  I do notice however, that when I've tried the test fax number, the fax  machine rings one time and the panel shows accept.

 

I've done everything that I know what to do to figure why I am not receiving faxes although I can send them.  Please help.

If the machine is showing accept then it is likely that you have manual receive turned on. If you press ok when you see the prompt does it pick up and receive. If your phone company offers distinct ring tone service that is the most reliable method.

No, it doesn't pick up when I press accept.  But I was able to get it to work due to a suggestion from a community guest.  Thanks for your response.
