Hi All,
I have an HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdw
I'm running late latest version of MacOS Ventura, however, I seem to be unable to save my scanned documents as pdf anywhere - I am able to save them as PNG files but for some reason they will not save as PDF.
I have updated both the HP Smart App, the drivers etc and still can't seem to save the scanned pdfs.
Also, when using Adobes create PDF, it won't pick up the scanner at all
Any advice? Is this just incompatibility between MacOS and HP Smart?
I've had endless issues with HP software on Mac

Hello @MikeColley1991 -
I was just working with our internal teams on this exact issue and they provided the following guidance and support. It should get you up and running in no time!
The support doc will walk you through a workaround to save to your preferred location!
Scanning issues after updating the HP Smart app (macOS): https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_8788896-8786216-16
The below issues are now fixed in the HP Smart app version 15.1.1.
- Cannot save scans directly to a local folder in macOS (Pic 1)
- Unable to increase the scan resolution above 300 dpi (Pic 2)
Picture 1: Tap save button to save to computer.
Picture 2: Based on the dpi supported by your printer hardware, the resolution options will be displayed.
Please come back and hit that Accept As Solution button if the updated software resolved your issue or if the document with the temporary solution fixed your problem until you could get the new software! If this did not resolve your problem, let me know so our community can keep working with you!
