Can't scan from Laser Jet M3035 MFP

I have never been able to scan from the printer to my computer.  I can't print perfectly well.

I ran the HP Print and Scan Doctor.  It told me that I needed to install the "full software solution" for my printer.  I clicked on the "Get Installer" button in the print and scan dr. and it took me to the HP home page.  I searched for software solutions and got a list of about 5 different drivers, etc.  But none of them sounded like a "full software solution."

What software program or driver do I need to install?

Similarly , will my question not be answered??  HP site pages are enourmously confusing.

My question: I have connected the M3035 (bought 2nd hand downloaded User Manual, have no accompannying CD). Equipment connected with cable with USB connector at one end to PC.

Windows 10 recognized PRINTER but not SCANNER.

Is this a problem, OR scanner functions are enabled only if M3035 is connected to local network ???

Will this get an answer ???? Lentz ,  have you solved your problem yet (2018) ???

Hi Lentz

For Scanning  on HP LaserJet M3035 Multifunction Printer (MFP)  you have to enable Scan to Network Folder feature. You can use the below  link to know how to enable the same.

Note- This is only aplicable if you have the printer connected on network.

please download and install Hp scan Extended  that will help you in the scanning.

I followed the steps provided by this link and all of the correct boxes for scanning were checked.
