Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

HP Smart cannot scan from this Printer.  Either no scanner was detected or HP Smart is not compatible with the scanner

in this printer.  I have scanned with this printer before it is a 7858 HP ENVY Photo printer.  I use the application HP Smart

on my computer a HP Pavilion upright.  The error is" Couldn't Connect to Scanner.

I bought and HP 2700 to work from home, have had it less than six months.   First I received and update request for HP smart, I went ahead with the upgrade and after the upgrade, the printer worked but not the scanner.    This meant that I could not sign and send.    Secondly I have had this less than six months and it is out of warranty.   I looked up the "solution", so this means they have a known bug, but instead of fixing it they are just giving a solution.  Good job HP.   Anyway followed directions and removed the printer, unplugged the printer and set it up again, same issue.    Well HP you have convinced me never to buy HP again.    I am taking it back to Best Buy as I found the receipt and returning it.    Never again.
