Cannot select double sided printing from iPhone but can do it from Mac laptop

Hi I just bought a

LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw

1/ I cannot seem to produce a double sided copy via the copy function - I assume it doesn't have 2 side to 2 side as I cant find that function?

2/ But more importantly my real question is why can't I produce a double sided copy from the Scanner via my iPhone? The functionality is there via my Macbook Air -  but not on my phone, there is no print all pages or '2 sided option' to select

I'd like to help!

Your printer does have 2 sided original 2 sided copy option (2-2)

The printer supports only one-sided original one-sided copy or one-sided original and two-sided copy.

Try updating the printer's firmware and ios-

• To update the printer's firmware, refer - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware 
•  To update ios, try these steps -Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Follow the below instructions to print on both sides

1. Make sure the printer is turned on, ink cartridges are installed, and plain paper is loaded in the main tray.

2. Open the item you want to print, and then tap the Share icon  or  .

3. Tap Print or the Print icon  to open Printer Options.

4. Tap Select Printer to select your printer.

5. Change any of the following print job settings. Available settings vary depending on the app you are printing from, the print job type, and your printer. Click on Options to expand the available options and make sure two sided is ON

   • Paper: Make any paper size changes on the printer. AirPrint automatically detects the paper size loaded in the printer or the size selected on the printer control panel. If the detected size is different than the paper in the tray, an error might display asking to confirm the size.

   • Number of copies: Select how many copies you want to print.

   • Black & White: Select to print in grayscale. This option only displays for color printers.

   • Double-sided printing: Print on both sides of the paper for certain file types.

   • Page range: Select specific pages within a document or webpage to print.

If you're using HP Smart- 

Tap a Print tile to print from your device, social media account, or cloud storage, or tap the icons along the bottom of the screen.

1. printing from an online account, follow any on-screen prompts to sign in.

2. Find a photo or document.

3. Tap Print or the Printer icon .

4. In the print window, you will find a dash drag the dash up 

5. to find the print settings and then select 2 sided printing

 A two-sided scan option is not available on HP Smart.
