8600 Multi
macOS 10.15 Catalina

This is a disaster all around. I did a system check for 32bit apps before upgrading. I can't scan at all. I used to use Image Capture, found it worked perfectly well. I don't need Easy Scan or whatever, I need a driver for my printer. Using AirPrint, with Sharing on, I cannot see the scanner in Image Capture. I had a look at ImageVue. It lacks the easy multiple cropping function I use all the time in Image Capture. I'm stuck here. I cannot for the life of me understand what would be so hard to write a driver for this device. Unless of course, you didn't really want to. Are there ever going to be HP drivers for the 8600? Better to tell us now I think.

Hi,

Download and install below drivers package from Apple:

https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1888?locale=en_US

From System Preferences, remove any listed 8600 printers and then press the plus sign.

Be sure to select your printer model within the Use drop-down menu and press add, then you should be able to print and scan with no issues.
