Change default path location HP scan, since withou flash I am unable

I have an HP PSC 1315 all-in-one, I use for scan documents pressing the scan button on the printer.

Everything goes fine, it save to Documents/My Scan

Since flash is no longer avaiable, I can change this default location. 

I need to change this location to another path. 

How can I manage that, without the flash, I can access those options.

Welcome to the HP Community.

HP Scan can be called separately / stand alone from the software.

If the software can be made to do so, you can change the destination folder.

If the software can be made to do so, change the folder as you have done in the past, then save the changes as a Custom Shortcut.

Assuming the main printing software is still installed...

Printing from other software might still work (for example, from Word).

The software - except for the startup / main menu - still works.

HP Scan can be called from the bin location.

HP Scan might support changing the destination folder and then saving the change as a Custom Shortcut.

Start Scan using HP Scan executable

You might be able to simply start HP Scan / Scan using the program executable.

For example:

The old Solution Center Scan software is located in "Digital Imaging"

C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\

OR

C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\

Find and Double-Click on scan File name / executable to start HP Scan

For example:

hpiscnapp.exe 

OR

hpqkygrp.exe

If available,

Right-Click on the executable and Send to > Desktop to create a shortcut.

HP Scan Extended can be a nice addition to your already installed printer software.

If it works (can be installed and is functional in your environment),

HPSE provides some nice features, including the More > Destination folder assignment.

• HPSE is a subset an older Full Feature Software suite. 
• HPSE features are very similar to the HP Scan Software released after 2015.
• Although HPSE appears to be a separate software, HPSE is dependent on the infrastructure provided by the Full Feature Software (full driver).  The Full Feature Software for your printer should be installed before installing and using HPSE.
  • OPTIONAL:  Add HP Scan Extended shortcut to Taskbar / Send to Desktop / Pin to Start
    • Open File Explorer > Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\HP\HP Scan Extended\bin
    • Right-Click HPScan.exe > Select Pin to Taskbar
    • Right-Click HPScan.exe > Select Send to Desktop (Create a Shortcut)
    • Right-Click HPScan.exe > Select Pin to Start

• HP Scan Extended features include (and are not limited to): Single, Multiple scans, Image and PDF scans, Email as PDF / JPEG, Source selection, Page Size choices include Auto-Detect (extracts image / document boundary).  Might include OCR (Save as Editable Text).

Click Start (windows key) > Open the All Apps List > scroll the list 

Open Category HP

Find and open the HP Scan and Capture application

Right-Click on the application and PIN to Start

• Download-Save-Install >  NAPS2 
• Not another PDF Scanner – free program scans PDF files and image(s) as .jpeg or PDF file(s).
• Not always simple “Plug and Play”, nonetheless, this free software is powerful and configurable.

Paint (mspaint)

Older software – not brilliant – does work for scanning images.

• Open  Paint
• Optional >> Expand the “white background” area to a size to accommodate your data.  If unknown, try 1300x1300
• File > Select “From Scanner or Camera”
• Select your printer > Follow the prompts to scan and then save your item

I don't want to use a software. I wanna use the scan button on the printer.

Much more faster and easy, many people come to my computer use the scan, I don't want to open the software everytime.

Need to change the destination folder on the press button scan on the printer.

Right.  I mis-read the question.  I offer apologies for wasting our time.

I don't have an answer for your situation that you've not already seen before.

No problem, this issue is really bottering me, why HP dont lauch a new software that dont use flash?

"Why" questions sometimes don't have a good answer - at least not one that will satisfy the person wanting the solution.

My opinion

HP won't launch new software for old unsupported devices.

Solution Center was not supported even before it broke due to Adobe removing Flash.

Lessons learned and all that - newer printers / printer software does not depend on using this type of interface to open the printer software menu(s).

I realize that does not help your situation.  If you cannot replace the printer, you are stuck with what it can still do.

Its not a big issue for me, I only wish to replace the path of the scan files, for a new folder that is sync with cloud and keep it safe.

I think I will have to do this manually, or with a backup software, to put the files there.
