HI, I changed routers...don't know if that's the problem but ...I can't scan ...I get an error message - "ID or password incorrect".  I did change the password for my router. I'm on a Mac Computer - Monterey 12.1 OS connecting to an HP OfficeJet 8715. Have no idea / can't find how to coordinate the two. Can anyone assist? Thanks

Hi,

Which exact scanning feature do you use? E.g Scan to Email, Network Folder? computer within the Scan menu of the printer?

 

From

the described error I would assume you likely refer to Scan to Email? Assuming this is correct please clarify which email service is set on the printer.

Sorry, in my 70s....all I see for mail is:   Version 15.0 (3693.40.0.1.81)....I'm on a Mac computer and get mail through the internet cable provider Altice.  But yes, I was trying to scan to mail. It used to work just fine. Now...it won't.

HI, within the printer control screen...it asked if I wanted to update the software...I said yes...and once that completed...everything worked just fine.  Thanks for trying to help!!!
