macOS 10.15 Catalina

After installing the 64-bit only, macOS 10.15 Catalina to my iMac I find I can no longer perform a flatbed scan on my Color Laser Jet Pro MFP m177fw . I have tried using HP's Easy Scan as well as Apple's Image Capture, both to no avail. I am unable to connect to the scanner in both cases. The printer works, though not as reliably as it did under Mohave..

This issue has been ongoing since last October with no response from HP.

This blows.

@Brian_A_V, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I understand the inconvenience caused. I would recommend you to go through a similar post that speaks about the scanning issues after Mac OS update.HP is working with Apple to get HP Easy Scan and Scan to computer back to full functionality as quickly as possible.

Also, try using the HP Smart App to scan. Refer to the document HP Printers - Using the HP Smart App (Mac) for help.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
