Hi, I am facing problem of copy size with my HP Deskjet GT 5820 printer. When I take colour copy it provides it in 50% reduced size, not in original size. I get black & white copy in actual size. Problem is only with colour copy. Printing is also normal. I have updated drivers. Please suggest solution.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
It looks like there might be a setting issue or a calibration problem causing your HP DeskJet GT 5820 printer to provide a color copy in a 50% reduced size instead of the original size.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
Check Copy Settings
Ensure that the settings for color copies are correct. Follow these steps to check:
- Open the HP printer software on your computer.
- Go to Copy settings and ensure that the scaling option is set to 100%.
- Verify that there are no settings that may have inadvertently been changed, causing the size of the color copy to be reduced.
Reinstall Printer Driver
Reinstall the printer driver to ensure that it’s correctly installed:
- Uninstall the current printer driver.
- Download the latest driver from the HP support website.
- Install the downloaded driver and restart your computer.
Perform Printhead Alignment
Sometimes misalignment of printheads can cause issues. Aligning printheads can be performed using the HP printer software:
- Load letter or A4 size plain white paper into the input tray.
- Open the HP printer software:
- For Windows: Click Start, select All apps, click HP, click the folder for your printer, and then select the icon with the printer’s name.
- In the printer software, click Print & Scan and then click Maintain Your Printer to access Printer Toolbox.
- Click Align Ink Cartridges on the Device Services tab.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to align the printheads.
Hard Reset of the Printer
A hard reset may sometimes fix issues with printer settings:
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer.
- Wait for a minute.
- Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
