Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips, Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
I understand that you are unable to send fax. I'm certain that with these steps I'm about to initiate, we're going to have a proper and permanent resolution in place in no time at all.
If you are trying to setup the fax for the first time, please refer to this document for instruction: Click here
To troubleshoot the fax issue run the fax test:
On the Fax screen, touch Setup, touch Tools, touch Test Fax, and then follow the on-screen instructions. The printer displays the status of the test on the display and prints a report.

NOTE:
For testing purposes, you can send a fax to the HP Fax Test Service at 1-888-HPFaxme (1-888-473-2963). This free service sends a return fax within 5 to 7 minutes when the fax is working properly. Your fax number must match the number you entered in the fax header to receive the return fax.
