Compression of Scanned Images

Hi I Have HP Smart and HP ENVY 5000 Series-HP Scan software, but I cannot find anywhere to increase the compression of documents scanned.

You used to be able to set the compression to reduce the size of the files if you need to send them.

How can I increase the compression but not the resolution, I cannot find any help or information on this.

Scan options are provided in the Scan selection menu.

Do not have that option to compress images now.  Had it a couple of weeks ago, but not now.

OK. 

Not sure why it's gone, though there have been changes (updates) recently that might have caused an "upset" in the existing installation.

If you have not already done so,

Remove/reinstall - or ,at the least, Reset  - the application.

Settings > Apps > Apps and Features

Scroll or search for HP Smart

Left-Click on the app name

Advanced Options > Reset, Repair, Uninstall
