I have downloaded upgrades, but printer does not allow me to sacn to my PC

printer advises me to go to 123.hp.com/setup, which I have done. Printer refuses to scan to my PC, and repeats the aforementioned message.

If you're having trouble scanning from your HP ENVY 5055 All-In-One Printer to your PC, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

 

Check Connection:

  • Make sure that your printer and PC are connected to the same network.
  • Ensure that there are no issues with the USB connection if you are using a wired connection.

HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor from the official HP website. This tool can automatically diagnose and fix printing and scanning problems.

Update Drivers:

  • Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the official HP website.

HP Smart App:

  • Consider using the HP Smart app, which is available for Windows and Mac. This app can help you set up your printer and troubleshoot issues. You can download it from the Microsoft Store or Mac App Store.

Firewall and Security Software:

  • Check your firewall or security software settings. Sometimes, security software can block the communication between the printer and the PC. Temporarily disable your firewall or security software and see if the issue persists.

Reinstall Printer Software:

  • Uninstall the printer software from your PC and reinstall it. Make sure to follow the installation instructions carefully.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Make sure your operating system is up to date. Check for Windows updates and install any pending updates.

Reset Printer Settings:
