Officejet 6950
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Connected my new Officejet 6950 and printed a HP Network Configuration Page. Wireless connection dropped out. Checked Windows Image Acquisition is set to automatic. This may be a separate issue: Earlier today, I had been using a Mobile 150 and notice that with both the old and the new printer, HP Scan Doctor 5.1, which has been reinstalled today, still has issues with the driver but does say how to fix it. The Chat woman doesn't understand me and there's no way to email Support, so how does one get assistance in Australia?

Greetings and Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Don't worry, I'm here to help!

Let's get straight into this. Let's try these steps -

Step 1 Network Restore -

1) From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).
2) Touch Network Setup.
3) Touch Restore Network Settings.
A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.
4) Touch Yes.

Step 2 Reboot the devices -
1) Turn off the Router, Printer, and the computer.
2) Wait for 60 seconds.
3) Turn on the Router first and wait for all the lights to stabilize.
4) Turn on the printer and allow it to configure itself.
5) Turn on the computer.

Step 3 Run Wireless Wizard -

1) From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch (Wireless).
2) Touch ( Settings ).
3) Touch Wireless Settings.
4) Touch Wireless Setup Wizard or Wi-Fi Protected Setup.
5) Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.

Good to have communication with an HP employee. However, the first paragraph of your solution does not relate to the 6950. It is not possible to touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the dashboard, it simply gives me the ability to change the date. Nowhere could I find Setup, network Setup or Restore Network Settings.

I can't remember how now because we've had a power cut in between, but I have now managed to connect wirelessly.

Just a bit of feedback, when a client buys a new product, it would be fantastic if you supplied a user guide so that we don't have keep randomly pressing buttons to find out how the thing works.

By the way, how do I get rid of the 3 by the bell?
