After a software update copies are reduced to 25% of the original area. Printing is normal. There are no settings on an HP DeskJet 2630 All-in-One to change the output size

Hi @MichaelB11,
Generally, this kind of printers have a Small Size (6 x 4 - a quarter of A4), Medium and Large size (A4/Letter), with a partially automatic paper senor.
Generally, loading the paper incorrectly may cause such behavior, to incorrectly identify a small size paper, so if you come across any such behavior again I suggest ensuring you load the paper property by fully expending the input tray, loading the paper to its right and using the media guides to fix it from its left size, incorrectly not aligning the paper or partially expending the tray may cause the printer to incorrectly sense a small media, which will result a 25% of the paper, so if you come across any similar behavior I suggest removing the paper from the tray, close it and then re-open it and align the paper to the right, as shown by below video sample:

Hi @MichaelB11,
I'd like to help!
I understand that copy size is reduced.
Printers with basic control panels support basic copy functionality, such as the number of copies or copying in color or black & white.
Your printer only offers basic copy functionality, to make a large copy of a small original, scan the original into the computer, resize the image in the scanning software, and then print a copy of the enlarged image.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

@Jay_G24. Thank you for your message.
I have completely cleared my cache and history and run error correction and disk optimisation on my hard disk. The scanner is set to A4 output. My operating system is Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (32 bit) Version 21H1.
I am afraid that the problem still occurs for both black and white and colour copying. My HP DeskJet 2630 is working normally for printing and scanning.
I am now able to attach a scan of a copy made from an A4 original, on which I have endorsed the dimensions of the original and the copy.
I do not understand how this can happen, since the DeskJet 2630 has no capability for changing a copy size.
With thanks for your assistance.
