The user "1946gymnast" posted this issue but the post was locked so I wasn't able to submit a reply:
"My 4630 scans fine via the flat glass scanner but has a very definite tilt when using the document feeder. I'm using basic 8 1/2 x 11 paper and the guides are set to the correct width. This has been occurring ever since I got the printer. Any suggestions? "
My OfficeJet Pro 8020 series printer (Mac OS) also had the same problem: all my scanned documents via the document feeder were noticeably tilted in the same direction every time. So I made sure to tighten the adjustable side rails enough so that the paper couldn't wiggle or move at all, but obviously not tight enough where the paper starts to bend. Now my scanned documents are perfectly lined up....I'm assuming before the rails provided a little bit of extra room, enough for the sheets of paper to turn a bit as they were fed through the scanner which resulted in the "tilt". Hope this helps!
