The distance is about 2.24 cm from the right edge of the glass.

This black line is created only with the ADF and not with the flatbed, right?

I have cleaned the glass but really looked at it instead of just cleaning. I did find something black that I could not see but could feel. I had to scrape it off but that took care of the problem! Thanks for your time. This was really getting aggravating. I appreciate your time.
