HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-in-One Printer

I am trying to delete an old work email from the scan email address options. I don't have the pin for the printer. I have restored factory settings. I have removed web services. The email address continues to show up. I am so frustrated. Thanks for your help!

Hi @jnoelle85,

I understand you’re trying to remove an old work email address from your HP Envy Photo 7855’s scan-to-email options, but even after restoring factory settings and disabling web services, the address still shows up. Let’s go through a few steps that should help clear it out.

Confirm Where the Email is Stored

On this model, scan-to-email addresses are often stored in the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS) or in your HP Connected / HP Smart account (HP ePrint Center), not just on the printer.

That’s why the address can reappear even after a reset.

Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer to find its IP address.

Enter that IP address into your laptop/phone browser to open the EWS.

Go to the Scan > Scan to Email settings and check if the email address is listed there. If so, delete it.

Check HP Smart / HP Account

Sign in at HP Smart using the account linked to the printer.

Look under Scan-to-Email settings and remove the unwanted email.

Reset Web Services Properly

On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Web Services Settings > Remove Web Services.

Restart the printer and re-enable Web Services.

This clears cached email addresses tied to HP ePrint.

Re-add Only the Correct Email

After resetting, set up scan-to-email again and add only the valid email addresses you need.

I hope this helps.

The email address is not in my HP Smart App. When I enter the IP address on the computer, there is no Scan to Email option under Scan, only Scan to Computer. And Address book has a fax number and nothing else. I also don't have Scan to email in the HP Smart App, EWS, HP ePrint center. Removing web services did not work. I turned off the printer and turned it back on. There as a message that said server not found. but it is connec
