We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Device Setup.exe does not allow me to scan a (paper) document with the HP2620 printer. However: the printer itself can print a (WORD) document from my PC, so the connection between my PC and the  HP2620 printer is allright (remark: the connection is made by cable and USB port).

  • Check if the HP2620 Printer Supports Scanning: Ensure that your HP2620 printer model supports scanning. While most multifunction printers like the HP2620 do support scanning, it's good to verify this.
  • Install Necessary Software: Make sure you have the required software installed on your computer to enable scanning with the HP2620 printer. Typically, this includes the full software package that comes with the printer. You might need to download and install the HP Smart app or HP Easy Scan application from the HP website.
  • Update Drivers: Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause scanning issues. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
  • Check USB Connection: While you mentioned that the connection between your PC and the printer is made via a USB cable, it's still worth checking the cable and the USB port to ensure there are no issues. Try using a different USB port on your computer or a different USB cable if available.
  • Restart Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting your computer and the printer can resolve connectivity issues.
  • Check for Error Messages: If you're getting any error messages when trying to scan, take note of them. Error messages can provide clues as to what might be causing the issue.
