Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.  It does not scan both sides automatically; you have to reinsert the document back into the document feeder.  However, if you use the HP FULL featured software, it will automatically sort the parts in order!

 

Please download the HP FULL featured software:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-pro-8020-all-in-one-printer-series/242...

 

Download "HP OfficeJet Pro 8020 All-in-One Print and Scan Driver and Accessories" from Software -Utility and install.

 

After successful installation, check out this resource on how to scan 2 sided documents. (with the auto sorting)
