A warm welcome to HP Support Community!
I believe we can use HP Easy Scan application to scan both sides of the page using Automatic Document Feeder. Here is how to do it:

1.) Download and install HP Easy Scan from here. Open HP Easy Scan.

2.) Click Presets and select Edit Settings.

3.) Click Source and select Document Feeder. Check the box Scan both sides of pages.

4.) Click Done.

5.) Click Scan.

Let me know how it goes!

Help please!

I have previously been able to scan double sided using the Easy Scan app, however it now seems to not be working. If I select scan both sides and press scan, the scanner scans 2 pages and then just stops scanning, but the documents do not appear in the scanned items in Easy Scan. There is also a blue horizontal bar with lines moving through it that indicates it is preparing to scan. I have restarted my computer, shut my computer down, and still haven't been able to complete the scan. Have you got any suggestions for a fix?

Thanks!

@MegEmerald, Welcome to HP Support Community!

To assist you better, I'd like to know the following-

What is the Operating System installed on your computer?

What happens when you scan a single-sided document?

Have you tried a different application like Apple Image Capture to scan the documents?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
