HP Officejet Pro 9022
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi Guys

I recently purchased my HP Officejet Pro 9022 after checking the specs online.

My problem is that the resolution of duplex scanning when using the ADF is 300 dpi. This resoltuion is too low for my docs. The specs online said i could get 600 dpi.

I had a HP 8730 previously which is a similar spec model that was able to scan duplex with ADF at 600 dpi no problem.

Could someone confirm that i should be able to scan duplex from the ADF at 600 dpi with the HP 9022 please?

I am getting nowhere with HP Support

Many thanks

Stuart

Hi,

The ADF supports up to 300 DPI, the flatbed glass supports up to 1200 DPI with HP software for consumer products in such level.

You may try the 3rd party NAPS scanning software, for my experience it should allow scanning with higher resolutions:

HP 9022 Spec.jpgThank you Shlomi but as you can see from the attached screen shot it clearly states that the scan resolution can be up to 1200dpi. No where does it state that that duplex printing is limited to 300 dpi with ADF. If what you say is true I believe I have been misled into buying this printer.

Personally, and to highlight, this is my personal opinion and interruption, the information clearly says "up to" 1200, and the printer does support 1200 dpi from the Flatbed glass, so I personally don't see any mislead in here,

Also, attaching the user guide:

Also, regarding the 8730 printer, you say similar, but consumer products and commercial products level products cannot be compared, while one is the higher end of consumer printers, and the other is lower end of commercial models, then features and options varies as well, and also the 8730 printer can't scan 1200 DPI from the top feeder, an Automatic Document Feeder meant to scan multiple pages documents, such are supported with up to 300 dpi.

Once again, just adding my personal opinion for your question, nothing else, this is a peer to peer community and I reply on my behalf and not working for HP, just to make sure you are clear with the community terms of use.

Cheers,

Shlomi
