HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've scanned multiple 4x6 pictures in order to touch them up or edit them in Photoshop on the scanner glass of my HP Envy 7640 and no matter how much compressed air and dusting I do of the glass, several white squiggly lines appear all over the scanned picture as if there were dust on the glass. This first happened a couple years ago when I was doing a project for a family member and figured a good dusting would solve the issue, but it did not and it occurs no matter where on the glass you scan it. My thought is that the 'dust' is on the optical scanner underneath the glass, but there is no feasible way to access it to clean it that I can tell or that I've searched videos for. What I'd like to know is if any other people have had this problem, what the solution is, and if I need to open up the printer scanner glass area - what is the best way to do that?
