I have HP Envy Photo Printer 6234. When I scan from scanner bed there appears to be lots of dust showing up on the photo I scanned even though I've cleaned the surface of the glass and the cover several times. How do I clean underneath the glass? Are there instructions somewhere for this? I can photoshop the dust specs out but I'm scanning in a large number of photos at the moment so it's quite onerous.

Hi @Vee4082,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
Follow the steps below to clean the scanner glass.
Disconnect the Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable and power cord from the scanner.
Clean the glass using a soft, lint-free cloth sprayed with a mild glass cleaner. Dry the glass with a dry, soft, lint-free cloth.
CAUTION:
Use only glass cleaner. Avoid abrasives, acetone, benzene, and carbon tetrachloride, all of which can damage the scanner glass. Avoid isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol because it can leave streaks on the glass. Do not spray the glass cleaner directly on the glass. If too much glass cleaner is applied, the cleaner could run to the edges and damage the scanner.
When you have finished, reconnect the USB and power cables to the scanner.
NOTE:
To clean the inside, backside, and/or underside of the glass, have the scanner serviced by an HP technician.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi, apologies for not replying earlier but I was called away on an emergency. Can I just confirm my understanding that the instructions you gave is for cleaning the top, outside part of the glass only? And to clean inside the glass I need a technician?
Thanks for your advice on this matter.
