We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

ENVY4520, print functions work great, Using it as a copier the color copy works fine, but, it will not copy in black mode!

@zekemire, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to make copies in black.

On the printer screen, tap Copy > Settings(gear icon) > make the necessary changes as required

While making a copy > select 'Start Black'

 

To resolve print quality issues, refer to - No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues

Check the ink levels, clean the black ink cartridge, and print a test page to check the result.

Have already done that! The problem is only in the copy mode! Printing works fine in color and black, but, when I try to copy an item in black it produces only a blank page. Color copies are fine. I though maybe an ink cartridge issue but since it prints fine I do not think that is the issue!

Did you go to the Copy settings and check?

 

If the issue persists, we will have to reset the printer to factory settings.

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Tools > Restore factory defaults

Note: Performing a reset will delete all settings on the printer.

 

Reconnect the printer to the network. Make a copy in black and check the result.
