Easy Scan 1.6.0: Searchable PDF, large file

Since the update to Easy Scan 1.6.0, the searchable PDFs it outputs are much larger.

With the previous version the size of one page was approximately 500KB, but now it's more like 1MB per page.

While downgrading to the previous version is not possible, I would very much appreciate it if this problem would be fixed in the next version of Easy Scan.

I don't now how to reach the developers at HP, so that's why I'm using this forum to give feedback about the software.

Additionally I see the latest version is HP Easy Scan 1.6.1, if your version is 1.6.0 it's worth trying the latest one:

Installing version 1.5 worked for me.

The following could be interesting for other users with the same problem (and possibly for the developers):

Version 1.6.1 seems to have the same problem.

It might not be a bug, but a different (immutable) setting somewhere: the image quality in the PDFs produced by 1.6.x are higher than in the PDFs produced by 1.5.0. So it could be a choice of the developers. If that's true, I think it would be great if they would make it possible for the user to set the quality of the searchable PDFs.
