I noticed that the desktop app "HP App" posted a "bug fix" update yesterday. I'm traveling and can't access my printer to see if this is the magic we've all been waiting for. Has anyone downloaded it to see if it's "the fix"?

Hi Tpsc.
1) Yes, using the printer to create a PDF also works.
2) The downside for me is that scanned pages of single page unrelated documents are combined and saved as one PDF document.
3) With Easy Scan (using PDF-Searchable - because the PDF setting still creates a blank page after the Ventura 16.1 update) when saving to a folder, the option "Save all items to a single file" can be deselected so individual files are saved into a folder as separate documents. There is no equivalent option when creating PDF files from a printer.

I found another work around that does not require saving the file as searchable - in case you want to or need to edit and until HP comes up with an update or patch.
1. Open System Settings
2. Click on Printers & Scanners
3. Click on your printer
4. Click on Open Scanner (should be at top left of dialogue box
5. You can check the scan mode to flatbed or document feeder, set the dpi and scan size to custom or letter, set the format to PDF, and can check the box after format to combine into a single document.

I was able to use some of your advice after a similar issue post upgrade to Ventura ios 13 and blank scans when scanning from the device. I tried selecting jpg instead of pdf, then opened it in preview as you suggested. From preview, I chose print, went to the bottom and selected PDF, and desktop as the location. It is a longer way around than scanning directly as PDF to desktop, but not so bad.

I downloaded Easy Scan 2.0.0 a few days and today I downloaded Ventura 13.1 I don't have anything checked when I save from EasyScan, I save and then I double click - no more blank!
(Could have I saved some setting??? I do NOT have PDF/A option checked.)
