Enable Scan to Computer without HP Print Assistant

If Web Scan or Scan to Computer is disabled by the person who setup the printer (according to the web dialogue), you can enable it as follows:

Browse to the printer by IP (you probably already did if you get the disabled message)

Go to settings (follow instructions to login using the Pin from the printer or other methods)

Expand the Security section

Select Administrator Settings

Go down to the Printer Settings section, Scan, and check the box by "Webscan from EWS"

Click Apply
