I have a new Officejet Pro 9020 set up via wi-fi to a Macbook Pro operating Big Sur (after Mojave). Printing and scanning are working fine. However, I wish to be able to send a scan directly from the Officejet interface to a folder on my computer, rather than having to access the scan window on my computer and initiate the scan from there.
There is a long thread from about a year ago with instructions on having to set up a networked folder and then pointing the Officejet to the networked folder using the network address for the folder available here; however I can't get it to work. I keep getting an error message saying: Incorrect credentials. Check your username/password and try again
I wish it wan't this difficult! Any suggestions?

Pay extra attention to :
Step 2: Check the printer date and time preferences
This the part that causes most authentication failures on macOS.

The linked article was excellent. However, a couple of notes:
1. On a Mac, the Network Path requires backslash "\\" rather than forward slash "/".
2. From the Scan screen on the printer, I accessed the folder by selecting "Network Folder" rather than "Select SharePoint."
Otherwise the step by step instructions worked for me.
