envy 7800 all in one printer/scan
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I have an Envy 7800 all in one printer, starting to have issues with printer. Been saying offline but if I run print doctor usually that fixes the problem, but the next time I try to print the printer is offline again. Now today I tried to scan in a document and could not scan. Tried print doctor and reloading software from 123.HP.com still no scan. Then tried set up to scan from the printer and send to my email. Loaded and set up the app tried to scan to email and nothing no scan, message says scan failed. The printer is set up wireless. Don't know what else to try here.....help, please!

@blueiz210, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are having connectivity and scanning issues. Let us try these steps:

Restart the wireless router, the printer and the PC

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • Either 2.4GHz network or 5GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Which app do you use to scan?

Use the HP Smart app to print and scan from your Win 10 PC(Wireless connectivity)

Click here to download and know more about the app.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
