HP Envy 7858 I'm trying to scan to email using the screen on the printer itself.  Error reads "The scan failed.  Retry or hit cancel".  I can still inititiate the scanner from my phone using the HP app and from my computer but not from the printer itself.... I like to use the document feeder to scan multiple pages to email but can no longer do it... I've owned and used this feature well over a year

BTW.  i have tested "copy" using the touchscreen and it copies fine.  I unplugged it for 60 secs.  I updated the HP doctor and also updated all software (through the HP doctor).  The test scan from HP doctor works fine too... but I cannot get it to scan to email anymore.

i get through the option to select document (vs photo), i load my email and verify the recipients after the screen reads preparing to scan, I get " the scan failed.  Try again or touch Exit to quit"

Same. It has been scanning fine for 6 months. Now it has stopped scanning from the flatbed scanner and document feeder.

It will, however, scan to a USB drive. Very strange. Please help!
