I am trying to fax a report to another party and the message I am getting says:  Not configured for voice services on my fax machine.  Can anyone help me with this?  Thank you Heidi

I have missed 25 faxes that attempted to come into our office,  these are documents we need, the machine rings, I can see who is sending the fax and then it tells me that I have communication failure.  This is so frustrating.  I have spent over two hours on the phone with a HP support person and nothing is working.  Can anyone help??

I see that you are facing fax issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e All-In-One Printer wherein you get an error "fax not configured for voice services".

 

Please follow the steps listed below:

  1. Lower the fax speed: Using the slow or standard setting can improve sending success.
  2. Turn on Error Correction Mode: If Error Correction Mode is off, turn it on to increase the chance of a successful transmission. The fax might take longer to complete.
  3. Check the connection: The phone cord that came with the printer should be plugged into the 1-LINE port on the back of the printer and into the VoIP gateway.
  4. Reduce internet traffic: Using a computer or a device to stream content or game over the web can interfere with VoIP faxing.
  5. Restart the router and modem: Restarting can clear internet service issues.
