Hi. After years of sterling service, my Printer/Scanner has stopped scanning. I've tried the scan doctor programme, uninstalled drivers multiple times, tried MS Windows driver installation and HP dedicated driver installation but no change. Tried scanning direct to the computer and the same problem. During copying a document the scanner works but the copy is unreadable with multiple vertical lines but printing a test page is perfect. Any help or is it time for a replacement? Thanks.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, problems persist. When copying/scanning the light bar stops at the top of the document and the screen freezes with a blue rotating circle and 'Now scanning' screen and trying the Printer and Scan Toolkit 5.1 programme this freezes at the 'Driver' verification stage. The latter is despite removing all printer drivers and devices and reinstalling from the downloaded PS6520_1315-1 file several times. Stangely though, printing from the computer via USB interface works fine!

You are welcome.
Scan / Copy uses a different hardware mechanism than does printing.
Assuming the Full Feature Software is fully installed,
If the hardware balks at scanning, it is not something that can be fixed with software.
If I have anything substantive to add to the discussion, I will post back.
